Story
As a teacher, I have experienced first-hand the benefits of educating children and young people, and some of the issues that prevent them from getting the most out of their education. Completing school is not easy, and some students face extra obstacles along the way. Children can be disadvantaged at school for many different reasons, such as: location, family circumstances, finances, transport difficulties, limited access to resources such as books, computers and internet, lack of support or encouragement at home, learning difficulties or disability. Those who experience these difficulties are often the ones who can benefit most from education, and the opportunities it provides, to build a brighter future for themselves. With support from everyday Australians like you, and organisations like The Smith Family, these children and young people can overcome their circumstances to become enthusiastic, dedicated, and successful individuals.
Please help young Australians in need create better futures for themselves through education by booking tickets to our Back to School Quiz Night on July 19th (email Miss Menadue: kristen.menadue@gmail.com) or by making a direct donation to The Smith Family online.
Click 'Donate Now' to make a secure online donation.
All donations over $2 are tax deductible and you will be issued with a tax deductible receipt via email as soon as you make a donation.
